Girl, 15, Hurt in Fall; Boy, 10, Hit by Car

A 15-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were injured in separate accidents involving a bicycle and motor scooter in recent days. Marie Louie, 15, of 5302 Ingraham Highway, is listed in "serious" condition at Doctors' Hospital after falling off a motor scooter Saturday afternoon in the 5500 block of Le Jeune Road. She suffered abrasions and lacerations over her body after losing her balance, and falling off the scooter. David Lauck, 10, of 531 Sevilla Ave., was admitted to Doctor's Hospital Tuesday, morning with multiple abrasions suffered when he was knocked off his bike by a car driven by Paul Weinstock, 47, of 6521 SW 25th Ter., shortly after 8 a.m. He was released from the hospital later the same day. Officer B. H. Thomas said Weinstock, eastbound on Giralda Avenue, apparently failed to yield the right of way to young Lauck, who was northbound on Le Jeune Road. No charges were filed.
