Deaths In The Gables Minnie Hoffman, 68; FHA, U.S. Revenue Worker
Mrs. Minnie Hoffman, 68, died Nov. 22, at her home, 438 Alcazar Ave. Rosary was held Thursday night of last week. Mass was said next morning at the Church of the Little Flower. Van Orsdel's Coral Gables Chapel handled arrangements. Mrs. Hoffman retired several months ago after working for seven years with the Federal Housing Administration in Miami. She came here in 1949 from Philadelphia, where she had worked for Internal Revenue. Mrs. Hoffman was well-known in community and civic affairs. She started the Republican Club of Coral Gables, was a charter member of the Musicians Club of America, founded the Catholic Chapel at the VA Hospital, and organized the Widow Club. Mrs. Hoffman donated 4000 volunteer hours to welfare work at the VA Hospital. She was a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Guild of Organists, Daughters of Isabella, Nights of St. John and the Austrian Club. Survivors are three sisters; two sons, including Robert B. Hoffman, of Miami; a daughter; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services and burial for Mrs. Jessie Breen, 22, 6405 Phonetia Ave., who died Friday were held in Niagara Falls, N.Y. She came here approximately one year ago. Surviving is her husband, Richard.
