Anastasia Ave., will open her home for the annual dinner meeting of the members of the Miami Wellesley Club to be held Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Husbands and guests will attend. Mrs. Harry F. Strayer, 2508 Madrid St., is chairman. Ruth Foreman of Studio M will present the program. Resident alumnae of Stephens College, Columbia, Mo., will hold their annual college alumnae coffee Feb. 20 at the home of Mrs. David S. Bachelor of Bay Point. Coral Gables students attending Stephens College are Gloria Diane Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Roberts, 8501 Ponce de Leon Blvd.; Avril Suzanne Dewey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dewey, 719 Tangier Ave.; and Cynthia Lee Pitcher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John O. Pitcher, 300 Candia Ave. Members of the Civic Club of Coral Gables will have their annual book review meeting today, Thursday at the Riviera Country Club. Mrs. C. L. Balinger will review "The Lovely Ambition," by Mary Ellen Chase. A nostalgic program in music will be presented Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Musicians Club of America, when Wesley Boyton, tenor in costume sings extracts from the "Mikado," "Pirates of Penzance" and "The Yeomen of the Guard," by Gilbert and Sullivan. Morse Haithwaite will be at the piano. The Fountainebleau Hotel will be the setting for the seventh annual fashion show and card party members of the Coral Gables Pilot Club will give Saturday. Miss Lulu Riker, a director of the club, is chairman. Florida State Hospital's music room will benefit. The Coral Gables Pilot Club bought 13 instruments for the room. Second Lt. Theodore W. Sillich, USAF, has been promoted to First Lieutenant. He is assigned to the Weather Central Wycombe Air Station, England, as meteorologist. Lieutenant Sullich is the son of Mrs. Thomas Geldhauser of 3934 Riviera Dr. Dr. Melanie R. Rosborough, Modern Language Dept., chairman of the University of Miami will give a talk before the UM Women's Club at 2:30 p.m. today (Thursday). The meeting will be held in the TV classroom in the octagonal-shaped building. New members of the Coral Gables Woman's Club (welcomed from Oct. 1961 through Jan., 1962) are Mrs. Jessie Wadsworth, 303 Minorca Ave.; Mrs. Ezra W. Savage, 935 Palermo Ave.; Mrs. Paul M. Crawford, 1415 Genoa St.; Mrs. Charles Spooner, 826 Ortega Ave. Mrs. Ira C. Haycock 11000 SW 60th Ct.; Mrs. Gordon E. Fairbanks, 5550 SW 5th St.; Mrs. Edwin J. Noyes, 5227 SW 90th Ct.; Mrs. George H. Zator, 6391 N. Waterway Dr., and Mrs. Miles P. Calvin, 2390 SW 16th Terr. Mrs. C. W. Munson, 239 Fluvia Ave., has been reinstated in the club. The Coral Gables Parent Teacher Association will have a box supper and program Tuesday evening at the elementary school. Each family will bring a box supper at 6:30 p.m. and gather in the cafeteria. At 8 p.m., the men of the PTA will take over the program which includes a showing of the film "Communist Encirclement-1961."

Nelsons Increase

Mr. and Mrs. Byron (Rod) Nelson (he's with University Federal) declared their second dividend this week in 13 years. It's a girl, Miss Valerie Robin Nelson weighed in at 7-41⁄2 Monday afternoon at 2:38 at Doctors' Hospital. The Nelsons have another daughter, 13-year-old Sylvia Kathryn. They live at 3281 SW 16th Terr.
