Publix To Start Soon

Construction will start within four to six weeks on a second Publix Super Market in Coral Gables. The site is at Madruga Avenue, Monza Avenue and Nervia Street. The Publix will cost about $300,000 and should open about five months after start of construction. Work was begun the first week of February on a Publix at Le Jeune Road and Andalusia Avenue. There is another store on Bird Road at 87th Avenue and a fourth will be built in Suniland.

They're Hanging High

Campaigners are reportedly hanging their political signs anywhere and everywhere in Dade County. Coral Gables, which has an ordinance prohibiting these signs, is taking them down as fast as they are being put up. "We can climb as high as they can," said City Manager L. W. Robinson Jr. Tuesday following reports that the candidates had resorted to placing their signs higher and higher to avoid the clean up detail.
