Dr. Mosley's Son Weds SW Girl

MRS. MOSLEY Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Burdick, 2770 SW 23rd Ave., announce the marriage of their daughter, Donna Sue, to Robert Sam Mosley Jr., son of Mrs. R. Sam Mosley, 640 San Lorenzo Ave., and the late Dr. Mosley. The ceremony took place May 4 in the Chapel at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. The bride is a graduate of Miami High School where she was a member of the Junior Debs. She attended Mars Hill College for two years, Mars Hill, N.C. The groom is a graduate of Coral Gables High School and Emory University, Atlanta, Ga. He is in the United States Army.

First Pop PTA Held At Merrick

W. K. Leu is the new president of the Merrick Demonstration School, 39 Zamora Ave., Parent-Teacher Association and is the first "pater"-parent in the top spot at Merrick. Installation of the new slate took place Tuesday of this week at the school. Other new officers are Mrs. Pat Murphy, and Mrs. J. L Clark, 1st and 2nd vice presidents; Mrs. David Pettigrew treasurer, and Mrs. Ted Malakoff, secretary. Leu is director of the International Space Interama to be held Saturday at the Opa-locka Airport. Mr. and Mrs. Leu are the parents of five children, and members of the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables.

Three budding young organists, Debra Dressel and Barbara and Christi Knight will play during the organ service Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables, when the dedication of the chapel organ in memory of Mrs. Ethel Stampe, takes place at 4 p.m. The girls will play a roundelay, a ballad and a folk tune. Junia Sells, church organist will present the program, which includes 20 piano and 14 organ pupils performing.

Mrs. Paul Rapp, 6600 Maynada St., gave an "end of school days party" Saturday for the Girls Athletic Association of Ponce de Leon Junior High School. The party began with a candlelight service of initiation at 11 a.m. followed by installation of the new officers.

Natalie McCleskey, 1210 Catalonia Ave.; Anna Hubers, 1414 Capri St.; and Barbara George, 1630 Tigertail Ave., are three Coral Gables area girls who will graduate June 5th at Barry College. Natalie will get a BS in nursing; Anna a Bachelor of Arts degree and Barbara a Bachelor of Science degree.

James Gantt Fausett, son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Fausett, 19 Antilla Ave., is scheduled to graduate in June with a degree of Bachelor of Architecture at Auburn University, Auburn, Ala.

Miss Philipson Miss Judi Philipson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irving S. Philipson, 808 Jeronimo Dr., is the first woman student at Boston University to receive the faculty-awarded Judson Rea Butler (first dean and founder of the University) Award. She also was cited as "The Woman of the Year" by the University News (college newspaper) from the College of Basic Studies.

Installation of officers of the Major Francis Langhorne Dade Chapter, National Society, D.A.R. took place in luncheon ceremonies at the Riviera Country Club. Mrs. Thomas O'Hagen Dupree, 1131 Manati Ave., is the regent. New members were welcomed and instructed by Mrs. Harold Foor Machlan of Coral Gables, honorary state regent.

Harry J. Herndon, member of the Coral Gables police force has returned to his home after a week's illness in Baptist Hospital. He is improved and expects to return to work immediately, according to his mother, Mrs. Harry Herndon of Coral Gables.

resident and the youngest member of the company, is a 9th grader at Ponce de Leon Junior High School. Dr. Delmar E. Solem, of the UM is the executive director of the Theatre. The summer calendar will be July 10th through Aug., 5th and Shakespearean productions will be in nightly rotation.

Miss Caroline E. Humphrey was installed last Thursday as president of the Coral Gables Chapter, National Secretaries Association, International. The installation was held in dinner ceremonies at the Coral Gables Country Club. Ruth J. Downey and Eileen F. Braner are vice presidents; Jacqueline Volpe and Florence A. Arroyo, secretaries and Lois E. Smith, treasurer. One new member, Lorraine Etter, was initiated.

Sue Basalyga, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Basalyga, and Pamela Van Orsdel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Van Orsdel, both of Coral Gables, were graduated yesterday (Wednesday) in the school chapel of Lake County's Montverde School, Montverde. There were 14 graduating who received diplomas and awards.
