Virginia Military Wedding for Miss Mills, Lieutenant

It was a military wedding Saturday that united the former Miss Joy P. Mills, daughter of Mrs. Robert G. Mills, of 10 Minorca Ave., and the late Mr. Mills, and Second Lt. Francis X. Hamilton Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. F. X. Hamilton of 420 NE 148th St. St. Mary's Church, Fredericksburg, Va., was the setting for the 11 a.m. wedding and the Rev. John Meehan officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Dr. Peter B. Mills, wore a floor-length gown of white peau de soie with bell-shaped skirt, fitted bodice and bracelet-length sleeves of lace. Her voluminous shoulder length veil fell from a coronet of lace and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis. Miss Ann Hamilton, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Eva Katherine Berner and Corajane Jennings, roommates of the bride at Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg. They wore identical sheath gowns of embroidered white pique and carried Spring flower bouquets. Ronald Knowles was best man, and ushers were William Guisler, Gerald File, and Russell Allen Emerson, all lieutenants in the US Marine Corps, Quantico, Va. The reception followed in the Waller Hall Officers Club, Quantico. The mother of the bride wore a champagne silk sheath with matching three-quarter length coat. Mother of the groom was in a turquoise silk sheath with matching short jacket and both matrons wore corsages of white orchids. Out-of-town guests at the wedding included the bride's mother and the senior Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, parents of the groom; Dr. Peter B. Mills, brother of the bride, of Monticello; and Cmdr. and Mrs. Robert M. Harrison of New York. After a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., the couple will reside at 309 Hanover St., Fredericksburg Va. LISA SPRAGUE, Editor FOR INFORMATION ON THIS SECTION CALL HI 3-1661 Refreshing Refueling At The Skillet... Is there any Mother who hasn't come to the end of her patience shopping with small children? Did you know that "lunch out" or just a snack between errands can make all the difference in tempers, both child size and adult? Of course this theory of a break in the day's occupation has gained wide acceptance with the modern "coffee-break." And people who work or shop in the Gables will find an ideal place for a pleasant and economical "pause for refueling" at the Skillet, just a step off Miracle Mile on the corner of LeJeune and Giralda. The Skillet, under the able direction of Mr. John Stafford, offers a lot of variety in one package. It is open from seven in the morning until eight at night and can serve you a cup of coffee with a tasty piece of homemade pie or a full course dinner. You can perch on a stool for a quick but generous "breakfast special" of 2 eggs served in a skillet, grits or potatoes, toast and coffee for the amazing price of 45c. Or you can relax at a table in a comfortable chair for a satisfying lunch of appetizer, sandwich, and iced tea for 65c. Complete dinners from $1.25 consist of appetizer, entree, green salad with choice of dressings, two vegetables, coffee and dessert. The Skillet is known not only for its very moderate prices but for its excellent food. The chef, Mr. Albert, takes personal pride in every dish that leaves his kitchen. His years of experience have provided him with a file of fine recipes, and the evening menu, changed daily, may feature Hungarian Beef Goulash or Roast Turkey, but each will be prepared by a man who loves his work! Even a plate of ham and eggs is given special treatment at the Skillet. They are cooked in a stainless steel frying pan and served from this right at your table. You get them sizzling hot at the moment of perfection for eating. An old favorite becomes, through this special handling, a gourmet treat - and gives the Skillet its very appropriate name! The Skillet was remodelled last year and now offers, not only the excellent food for which it has been known and appreciated for six years, but also air-conditioning and a musical background for real comfort and relaxation. You'll find the Skillet is a wonderful place to get acquainted with as summer heats the pavements and the kitchen at home is a good place to leave! Its location near two popular movie theaters makes it easy for the family to enjoy a com- plete evening out with one stop. Drop in for a coffee break this morning, and come back for dinner with the rest of the household tonight! PAUSED From Pleasure-chocolate cake and milk at The Skillet is little Frank Stafford.
