MRS. RONALD M. MANCHESTER Med Student, Nurse Wed in Friday Rite Mr. and Mrs. William J. Barron, of 2041 Country Club Prado, announce the marriage of their daughter, Judith Anne to Ronald M. Manchester, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Manchester, of Watertown, N.Y. The wedding took place Friday, June 8 at University Baptist Church Chapel. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white lace sheath with organza overskirt. The bodice had a scoop neckline and short sleeves. Her shoulder length bouffant veil of illusion fell from a crown of pearls and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and French carnations. Mrs. Keith Hartsfield Jr., of Jacksonville, matron of honor and the bride's only attendant wore a turquoise organza gown with matching hat and veil and carried pink carnations and sweetheart roses. Carl Wagner was best man, and Tom Barron, brother of the bride, was usher. The Rev. R. Gent Cofer and the Rev. T. Rupert Coleman, pastors at the church officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mother of the bride wore an imported blue linen gown and pink carnation corsage. The bride graduated from Coral Gables High School and the School of Nursing at the University of Miami. The groom graduated from Watertown High School, Watertown, N.Y., and is a pre-med student at the University of Miami. T. J. Shepard, uncle of the bride, of Sebring and Mrs. Shepard were guests at the wedding.
They Were Married In Chapel At U.M.
The University of Miami's Westminster Presbyterian Chapel was the setting Saturday for the wedding of the former Miss Heather Rosemary Woodard, and Charles William Barham. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Alice Airth Woodard, of 3705 Ponce de Leon Blvd. The groom is the son of Mrs. Glen Stansbury of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Walter C. Barham of West Palm Beach. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Daniel N. Airth wore a handsome floor length gown of imported silk organza, appliqued in reembroidered Allencon lace and seed pearls. The aisle-wide bell skirt was trimmed in the lace and a large butterfly bow was the back interest. From her "Marie de Medici" cap of pearlized orange blossoms fell a shoulder length bouffant veil and she carried white carnations, sweetheart roses and white heather "for luck." Miss Loretta Stone, maid of honor and the bride's only attendant wore a gown of pale romance blue silk with lace bodice, and matching accessories, and carried a nosegay of sweetheart roses and baby's breath. Wendell P. Dunning was best man. Jack Metzger, and Jim Wright ushered. The Rev. Howard Huntziker officiated at the double ring ceremony and the reception followed in the Chapel Garden. Mother of the bride received guests wearing a peppermint pink linen tunic suit and pink toque, matching accessories and corsage of sweetheart roses. Mother of the groom wore a sheath of pale lilac mist silk organza with matching accessories and white carnation corsage. For her something old, the bride wore her grandmother's wedding ring on her right hand, and carried the white carnations as a salute to her sorority, Chi Omega. Mrs. Glen Stansbury, and Mrs. John Edge, mother and sister of the groom, of Chattanooga, Tenn., attended the wedding. Also Daniel Airth of Ontario, Canada, uncle of the bride and her aunt, Mrs. George French of Houston, Texas. The bride is a graduate of Coral Gables High School and the University of Miami and is presently Public Service Director of Radio Station WQAM. The groom a graduate of Central High School, Chattanooga, attended Chattanooga University and is presently manager for Texaco in South Miami.
R. A. Grumet Bar Mitzvah Is Saturday
Robert Alan Grumet, a seventh grader at Ponce de Leon Blvd. who lives at 1231 Malaga Ave., will be Bar Mitzvah Saturday morning at Temple Judea. Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grumet, who will host the Kiddush following the Bar Mitzvah. Rabbi Mordecai Podet and Cantor William Royal will officiate. Robert is in the Ponce band and Hebrew honor student.
