Dunmire's Garage Can Pin Point Automotive Trouble Now
Are you planning a family vacation in the car? Do you travel daily on mile-a-minute highways? Perhaps you only poke along in residential streets. But if you use your car for anything except holding down the garage floor, you owe it to yourself and to the rest of the world to make sure your car is in top operating condition. The place to go for quick but thorough attention, whether for regular check-ups or more extensive work, is Dunmire's Garage at 241 Almeria Avenue. Gilbert Dunmire the owner, is a mechanic himself and takes a personal interest in providing full satisfaction to his customers. The integrity and quality of the work done at Dunmire's, is well known to those who have formed the habit of depending on him in the vital matter of car maintenance. Gil Dunmire is also a progressive man who likes to keep up with the latest advances in automotive repair for today's increasingly complex cars. He has the most modern equipment and makes good use of it to save you both time and money. For example, his Dumont Engine Analyzer is similar to one used in small aircraft to enable the engineer to spot which part may need replacing even before he lands at the field. Used on your car, it tells the mechanic at a glance the condition of your engine's cylinders, spark plugs, distributor wiring, and ignition system. This pin pointing of trouble areas eliminates unnecessary labor. A check with the Analyzer costs only $2.00 which is deducted if any work proves to be needed. The Visualiner at Dunmire's Garage can accurately check up to 1/32" variations in wheel alignment. — The John Bean Visualiner for wheel alignment is another time and money saver. This takes the place of lengthy measuring and provides for a high degree of accuracy. A Stewart Warner Wheel Balancer is a third instance of the modern equipment at Dunmire's Garage. So drop in at Dunmire's for a safety check-up, a thorough repair job, or just the final fixing of the irritating rattle somewhere in the chassis!
MMA Seeks Strong Voice In Politics
Members of the Miracle Mile Association agreed at Tuesday night's meeting that they need to do something to have their views made known forcefully to the City Commission. Apparently shaken by the Commission's decision to turn down the Seven Gables Hotel on Coral Way, the group discussed ways to have their weight felt. Members said they were upset over the fact that a small group of property owners could cancel the hotel plan. The MMA is also looking into the possibility of setting up a joint merchant and property owners promotion and publicity program. Russell Eastman, a Keyes Realty Co. executive, proposed the expenditure of between $18,000 and $25,000 to promote the 147 businesses on the Mile.
