Sharon Dell to Wed Thomas James Hart

SHARON DELL Mr. and Mrs. Harry Joseph Dell, 1203 Pizarro, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Elaine, to Thomas James Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Joseph Hart, 6891 SW 48th Ter. The wedding will be Dec. 1. A graduate of Coral Gables High School, Sharon is presently employed by the Miami Herald. Her fiance, a graduate of the University of Illinois, is an employee of General Foods.

CORRECTION

In a story about the Dade County Golf Association trophy awards last week Monroe Miller, 180 Arvida Pkw., was incorrectly identified as the father of Helen Miller.

Lt. Gen. and Mrs. R. K. Sutherland, 1235 Coral Way, are spending several days at Pinehurst, N.C.

The Chuck Leavengood family of 418 Candia Ave. added more honors to their list of skiing awards last weekend at the Winterpark jump tournament. His wife, Sally, took top honors with a first place in the expert and master division of the senior women. Eleven-year-old Linda, a 7th grader at Ponce de Leon Junior High School, took second place in the expert and master division of junior girls. She holds fourth over-all in the 1962 nationals. Ten-year-old Cheryl, a sixth grader at Coral Gables Elementary, made this her first tournament and placed first in the novice division. Chuck jumped 210 feet to place fifth in his division. The Leavengoods are members of the Greater Miami Water Ski Club.

Nurses Form Own Alumni Association

Miami graduates of the University of Miami School of Nursing are forming their own alumni association. Approximately 140 women in the Dade County area are eligible for membership. Their first annual breakfast will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tyler's Restaurant, 1570 S. Dixie Hwy. It will be an informal affair to provide the members with an opportunity to get acquainted, Lila Carithers, treasurer, said. The breakfast will replace the annual Koffee Klotch which was given by the Miami Alumni Association as a part of the University's homecoming program.

Hear Chopin On Sunday

"An Afternoon with Chopin," will be given Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Dixie Room of the Musicians Club, 303 Minorca Ave. Edward Clarke will talk on the life and work of Chopin, and Joyce Arce, pianist, will play selections from his works. A pupil of Peggy Neighbors Erwin, Miss Arce has been chosen to play at the Florida State Music Teachers Convention at Tallahassee next month. She will represent the area from Key West to Vero Beach.

Riviera Golf

Mrs. Carl H. Blohm, with a score of 28, won the Class A Division of the low putt tournament played Tuesday by the Riviera Women's Golf Association. Mrs. Dwight Ozon and Mrs. C. Chrisman tied for second place with 30. In Class B, Mrs. Sam Anderson won with 29 putts. A three-way tie with a score of 32 resulted among Mrs. Ben Costello, Mrs. Ben E. Hendrick and Mrs. Bernard E. Neary. In Class C, Mrs. L. J. Griffin won with 27 putts. Mrs. Gus Lancaster and Mrs. Jack NcKay tied for second place with 34.
