GIRL SCOUT PATTIE SUE CLARKE SLIPS ON WHITE GLOVES FOR THE PLANTING; AT RIGHT, SCOUTS SING AT DEDICATION CEREMONIES Golden Year Girl Scouts Plant Their Golden Shower Tree Here

Girl Scout Troop 648, observing the 50th year of Girl Scouts, planted a golden shower tree last week in front of the clubhouse of the Coral Gables Woman's Club. The tree was given to the Woman's Club by the Dade County Federation of Women's Clubs. The Gables branch then asked Troop 648 to do the honors. The golden shower tree was appropriate. The tree's golden flowers and its green leaves will combine the two colors associated with Girl Scouts. Leading the brief program were Troop Leaders, Mrs. Jacques Clarke, 625 Altara Ave.; and Mrs. T. Jackson Perkins, 533 Alhambra Cir. Mrs. F. J. Stollsteimer, chairman of the conservation department of the Dade Federation; Mrs. Edward Elliot Jr., vice president of public relations for the Dade Federation. Mrs. M. C. Weir, chairman of the conservation committee; Mrs. John Worley, president; both are with the Coral Gables Woman's Club; and Mrs. John Findeisen, chairman of the Cassia district of Girl Scouts, which includes Troop 648.
