The Griegers Mark Their 50th Year
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Grieger, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 22 with a quiet family get-together with their only son and daughter-in-law, the G. N. Griegers of Ft. Lauderdale. Also present was their grand-daughter, Diana White whose husband Vance, is now stationed at the San Antonio Air Force Base. The Griegers, who live in the Fountaine View Apartments, 2825 Granada Blvd., moved permanently to Florida in 1939 and have lived in the Gables for 13 years. At first, Mr. Greiger, who is 72, said he did not know if they would be able to have any type of celebration because Mrs. Greiger, 70, has been ill since August, when she had an operation. They were both born in Indiana, where Mr. Grieger went into the automobile business in 1915. But after he had a heart attack in 1937, his doctors suggested he move to Florida for his health. The couple are members of the First Christian Church of Coral Gables.
