Saturday Carnival To Benefit Scouts

The "Mom Club" of the Southwest area will sponsor an old fashion carnival complete with hot dogs and cotton candy Saturday at Bird Road and South West 87th Avenue near the Kwik Chek. The carnival, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., is for the purpose of raising funds to buy a bus for 60 Boy Scouts in Troop 319. Mrs. C. Mahfuz is president of the 50 member group. Various articles and services contributed by local stores will be auctioned throughout the day. Charlie the Clown, supplying tricks and laughs, will be the auctioneer. The Troop 319 Scouts, dressed in their uniforms, will help out in one of the six booths. They also will comprise the cleanup committee and take care of small children.
