Kenneth Kyser Eatons Honeymoon In Carolina
Wearing a string of pearls, the gift of her mother, the former Miss Yvonne Louise Derseweh became the bride of Kenneth Kyser Eaton Saturday at the Church of the Little Flower. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell P. Derseweh, 5999 SW 47th St. She was given in marriage by her father and wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin. The fitted bodice had a square neck line, bracelet length sleeves. The voluminous circular skirt fell from the waist line with a large white satin bow as trim. Her veil fell from a crown of pearls and she carried red roses with a white orchid. The bride's mother designed and made her daughter's gown. Mrs. Raymond Tardoni was honor matron. Bridesmaids were Miss Janice Wall, Miss Patricia Clark, both of Coral Gables; Bonnie Alexander of Miami; and Donna Derseweh, seven-year-old sister of the bride, dressed in a white frock, was flower girl. The attendants wore Kelly-green peau de soie gowns with matching shoes, long white gloves, hats of green peau de soie and carried white pom poms, in cascade. Father of the groom, W. L. Eaton of Lakeland was best man. Ushers were Russell Derseweh, brother of the bride, Lany Courtney of Miami, and Dr. Lynn Feaster of St. Petersburg. The Rev. P. K. Gregoure officiated at the 6 p.m. double ring ceremony and the reception followed at the home of the bride's parents. The bride's mother wore a silk brocade sheath, in champagne color with matching accessories and orchid corsage. Mother of the groom, Mrs. Lucyle Eaton of West Palm Beach, wore a blue chiffon gown matching accessories and a white orchid. After a wedding trip to the family's summer home in North Carolina, the bride and groom will reside in West Hollywood. The bride attended St. Theresa's School and Coral Gables High School. The groom is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega social fraternity and was vice-president of the Florida Union. The groom's mother gave a spinsters luncheon Friday, Oct. 6, at the Coral Gables Country Club, in honor of her future daughter-in-law. MRS. KENNETH EATON
Train Watch
More than 3,000 signatures were obtained Sunday on petitions asking for automatic signals at hazardous railroad crossings in South Dade. Gathering names were members of the South Miami and Perrine Jaycee clubs and of Palmetto Country Club Estates Civic Association. Dr. Tony Livingston is chairman of the effort. The drive is an outgrowth of a recent fatality at Perrine at one of the rail crossings. The Metro commission was to have discussed the matter this week.
Rev. Stinson In New Home
The Rev. Fred E. Stinson and his family of the Kendall Methodist Church have completed their move to their new parsonage, a modern stucco home at 6550 SW 127th St. The house has four bedrooms and three baths, ample room for the minister and his wife, Jackie, and daughters Rita, 13, Lisa, four; and son Rickey, 11. The growing church will use the old parsonage which was next door to the church at 7600 SW 104th St. as a Sunday School. The church plans to have an open house sometime soon for its members so the new ministerial residence can be seen. The Rev. Mr. Stinson was hospitalized for two days this week with a kidney ailment but is back to his normal activities.
