Mrs. Burnham Is Winner Of First Courtesy Contest
The winner of the first week's Courtesy Contest in Coral Gables is Mrs. Bernice N. Burnham, a sales person at the Rumpus Room on Miracle Mile. She will receive a $50 Savings Bond. Janet Don Louie, 114 Calabria Ave., wrote the letter which won for Mrs. Burnham. Miss Louie MISS LOUIE will receive a $25 bond. The contest will have weekly winners for the next several weeks. Mrs. Burnham has been with the Rumpus Room for about two years and before that was with another Mile store for five years. As for selling, she says: "Don't get in it unless you like people. "And I'd say the merchant has a lot to do with a sales person's attitude. When he spends time point out things you can improve yourself with, you want to do more for him." Mrs. Burnham is a native of Oak Park, Ill. She and her husband live at 9945 Sunset Drive. Their three children are married. Burnham has been with the Electrolux Corp. for 25 years. MRS. BURNHAM

Throw Away Those Pin-curls
At a recent interview with Miss Grace of Studio For Beauty, 2332 Galiano Avenue, she declared that she is opening this year's Florida Season with the finest beauty value in town. "For the remaining days in October, I am offering customers my famous $22.50 'Touch of Grace Permanent' for $12.50," she said. This is the permanent wave that never has to be set — not even when you go to the beauty parlor! Hair is shampooed, hand dried and brushed into place, wonderful on baby fine hair. You can say "goodby" to nightly pin-ups with this permanent, and you never have to sit under a dryer. In between salon visits, once a month to keep hair trimmed, just shampoo, add creme rinse and brush into place. Remember, you can obtain this permanent wave only at the Studio For Beauty ... Call HI 8-5382 for an appointment. —Adv.

DON'T GAMBLE YOUR HOME Here's PROOF Metro Plans to Revive Tax Re-assessment Plan
Metro betrayed small and average home owners with a tax plan which nullified Homestead Exemption. In the face of sky-rocketing Metro spending—up by $7,400,000 the first year, $8,600,000 the second year, $14,900,000 the third year, and $19,600,000 the fourth year—wealthy taxpaying interests were on the verge of throwing out Metro . . . until the re-assessment plan shifted the burden to hundreds of thousands of home owners. Metro turned deaf ears to the people's outcry . . . UNTIL 76,000 PEOPLE SIGNED PETITIONS AND FORCED THE OCT. 17th VOTE TO AMEND THE METRO CHARTER! Then Metro hastily called a special election in August to knock out the re-assessment plan . . . a political move, to lull the people . . . UNTIL AFTER OCT. 17th! Don't be fooled. It is only TEMPORARY! The Metro Manager, questioned UNDER OATH in Circuit Court, admitted plans to REVIVE RE-ASSESSMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Let's KEEP RE-ASSESSMENT OUT! Vote "YES" Oct. 17 PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE TO AMEND METRO Dan Chappell, Pres. • Congress Bldg. • FR 9-7685 Pd. Pol. Adv.
