CG High Girl Athletes Tap 13
By LEE SANDLER Correspondent Aleda Pintavalle, president of the Gables High chapter of Girls Athletic Association tapped four juniors on Monday and nine sophomores on Tuesday. They are: Jeri Corso, Gloria Espinosa, Alice Baumgarten, and Leslie Paldor. Sophomores selected are: Barbara Hale, Diana Hayman, Carole Henry, Sue Laginger, Pam Snow, Donna Stevenson, Martha Ann Strohecker, Mary Frances Strohecker, and Donna Walker. Officers for GAA this year are Aleda Pintavalle, president; Sandy Lewis, vice president; Judy Prettyman, recording secretary; Mimi Weiner, corresponding secretary; Judy McMillan, treasurer; Ruth Scally, sergeant-at-arms; Kathy Shea, historian, and Carol King, chaplain. Student Government has completed plans for the annual Homecoming Week which will begin tomorrow evening with the crowning of the Queen at the Homecoming Dance. The semiformal Miami Heights Cabana Club at 8:30 p.m. Secretary of State, Scott Heck, who is responsible for the production of the weeklong festivities, announced that the Queen and her court will reign at a bonfire at school on Tuesday night and the annual homecoming game with Southwest High School on Thanksgiving morning. Science and Math Honor Society will spend their next two meetings listening to reports from prospective members. In order to be tapped for this organization each student must have maintained an average of 3.66 or better in all math and science courses since beginning high school. Officers for this year's SMHS are: Michael Machtey, president; Jeffrey Strumpf, vice president; Neal Goodman, treasurer; and Ruth Kavenoff, secretary. Crescent Club announced their sponsors at a dance at the Venetian Pool last week. Those named are Liz Millikin, Barbara Paltridge, Brenda McCarter, and Susan Worley. The successful dance, entitled Underwater Fantasy featured Billy Rolle's band.

3 SW Homes Are on Tour
Saturday the Chi Omega alumnae of Greater Miami will present their 13th annual Chi Omega Caravan. This year the homes to be visited, are all grouped within a few blocks of each other in the Sunset Road area. They are the homes of Judge and Mrs. Jack Turner, 420 Sunset Dr.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph B. Ryder, 8950 Old Cutler Rd.; and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz B. Wagor, 8401 SW 52nd Ave. The tour is open to the public the price is one dollar, and Mrs. Charles Pawley, MO 7-6907 may be contacted. The homes will be decorated in Christmas decor and all decorations have been made by the Chi-O members.
