HOME & GARDEN GUIDE | DOLPHIN PLUMBING SERVICES, INC.

HOME & GARDEN GUIDE Question to Bill Couch of Dolphin Plumbing from J. Jackson. Question: In the South Dade Area, there is a great deal of mineral content in the water. How can I prevent the damage to washers and seats in my faucets? Answer: As soon as the faucet starts to leak, change the washers. It is the leakage past the worn washer that is causing the damage to the seats. There is no way to prevent wear to the washer, so being alert to the wear is the only solution.
