Mrs. Floy Denton
Bride Wears Cape Brought from Spain
Newly-wedded Mr. and Mrs. Floy Bonnell Denton will reside at 222 Phoenctia Ave. when they return from their trip down the Keys. They were married Saturday at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Warren Densmore officiating at the 10:30 a.m. double ring ceremony. The bride, the former Miss Nancy Virginia Denham, daughter of the Herbert Harry Denhams of 418 SW 29th Rd., wore a white peau de soie gown, the feature of which was her veil, a lace mantilla brought from Spain by her godmother, Mrs. James Rees of Washington, D. C. Her strand of pearls was the gift of her godfather, T. C. Carrico of Coral Gables. Mrs. Robert W. Clark was honor matron and Mrs. Richard Nagode, Cleveland, O., and Miss Mary Margaret Missio were bridesmaids. The three attendants, two of whom were April brides, wore turquoise chiffon, tulle picture hats. Jules Ned Crabb was best man. Ushers were Gary Udell Denton, brother of the groom; William Bigsby, Gino Federici and Gerald J. Bowman of Clearwater. The reception took place in the church gardens. Mrs. Denham was in aqua silk linen and the groom's mother wore a powder blue silk shantung with navy. The bride, who was born in the old University Hospital in Coral Gables is the grand-daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Turner, pioneer (1923) Gableites. A graduate of Coral Gables High School and Florida State University, she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. The groom attended the University of Tulsa and the University of Miami where he was a member of Kappa Sigma, social fraternity. Among the out of town guests at the wedding was the groom's grandmother, Mrs. Charles Howerton of Colcord, Okla.

What I Tell My Daughters
By a Gables Mother DEAR JOAN, You asked me how to be popular. Well, I would say the first thing to do is 'look inside yourself.' What is your attitude toward your family and friends? Do you get up in the morning feeling that today will be a new adventure? Or, do you drag yourself out of bed hating the very thought of going to school? One essential to popularity is to be beautiful.—Oh, I don't mean physical beauty. I mean an inner radiance which comes from being kind and genial and, most of all, pleasant. For instance, when you come to the breakfast table, give us a cheerful "Good morning!" with a smile and a sparkle in your eyes. You'll be surprised at the effect your enthusiasm will have on others. And as you go through the day greeting your friends and teachers, let them know you are genuinely glad to see them. Soon you will find that they are glad to see and be with you, too. When you accomplish this, you are on the first step of the ladder to popularity. The second step is "How to Get along with People." I'll tell you about that in my next letter. LOVE, MOTHER
