Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Cadle, formerly of 6335 Riviera Dr., sends us newspaper clippings from Canada with pictures of the 300 "Silver Trailers" of which Betty and Fred were also a trailer duo. They write they have traveled over 11,000 miles, covered many states and in California, were greeted with temperature of "118 degrees." Needless to say they did not tarry there. After their visit in Canada, and they mention the Canadians have been most pleasant, they will return to Florida at the end of October, and Coral Gables where they will again reside. * * * BINDRIM BAGBY Richard Bagby, honor graduate at Coral Gables High School and a scholarship premed student at Emory University in Decatur, Ga., as president of the Sigma Chi Alumni Club, will play host to all Sigs in Florida Saturday and Sunday at Fort Lauderdale. Hundreds of Sigs and their prospective rushees will gather. Parties, including banquet and sweetheart ball, will be held at the Rutger Motel. * * * Miss Eleanor Bindrim, president of the Pilot Club of Coral Gables attended the 40th annual convention of Pilot International held in Denver, at which she also served as delegate. She reports that eight $1,000 scholarships were given and that Miss Mary Ruth Hauser, of the Coral Gables Pilot Club, was elected secretary of Pilot International for two years. * * * Wilfred Smith, minister of music at the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables and instructor in Voice at the University of Miami, returned this week from a six weeks visit to England, his former home. He resides in San Sebastian Hall. * * * Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell L. Master, 837 Madrid St. are spending two weeks in Highlands, N.C. They will attend the Presbyterian services at Montreat, N.C., where the family goes each summer to renew old acquaintances. Their daughter, Maxine, will enter Bryn Mawr College Bryn Mawr, Pa., and early in September, the family will take her up there and also visit relatives in Philadelphia.
