2 Teenagers Show Form For Business

Two resourceful teenagers in Cutler Ridge have made summer jobs for themselves and are providing a service for their neighbors too. How? They formed a "Waterfront Club." Carol and Bruce Thomas, 9740 Cutler Ridge Dr., have taken advantage of their Scouting and Red Cross training and are now teaching others to swim and enjoy the water with safety. Their parents have provided the use of the family swimming pool for classes. Bruce, 15, counsels a waterfront club for boys. For the beginner, Bruce feels, the waterfront club is a serious workshop; for the better swimmer, a floating game room. His students age from seven to 12 years of age. Sister Carol, 17, teaches swimming to adults and children and counsels a waterfront club for girls. Both are active in Scout work and hold junior life-saving certificates. One session is over, the second began Monday, when Bruce returned from the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. The club will meet for one four, five days a week, for four weeks. CE 5-5558 for further information. Those interested should contact Bruce or Carol at
