Red Cross Wants You

The local Red Cross chapter is in the process of doubling its volunteer strength to carry on the precautionary program of instruction. The buildup is in compliance with a request by Red Cross Headquarters in Washington because of the Cuban crisis. Hospitals are particularly eager to have Red Cross train more volunteer nurses' aides who will assist doctors and nurses in any emergency situation which might arise. Volunteers must be over 21, under 55, and in good health. Women of the Coral Gables and South Dade area who have three or four hours each week to devote to this program may enroll for the course by calling PL 1-6661.
