Sam Millward, president of Diversified Sales Organizations, Inc., whose executive offices are in Coral Gables, has an- nounced the appointment of his company as national and in- ternational sales representatives for Air-Cover air conditioner covers. Manufactured by the Air- Cover Corporation of Miami, and invented by John N. Koh- ler, Air-Cover president, this new product is enjoying an ex- ploding sales position. On the national scene, Diver- sified Sales Organizations, Inc. is opening branch offices in the Dallas-Houston vicinity and the greater Los Angeles area.
Cleary Fails In Bid For Tax Collector's Job
A bid by Thomas H. Cleary to be named tax collector for the City of Coral Gables with a department head status was re- jected by the City Commission Tuesday. The Commission took no for- mal action on Cleary's request on the recommendation of City Manager L. W. Robinson Jr. Finance Director Kenneth Al- lyn also serves as the City's tax collector and Cleary under him under the present setup. The fact that Metro will as- sume responsibility for all ad valorem tax and personal pro- perty assessing and collection was largely responsible for the Commission's decision.
