Sandwiches are quick and casual

Sandwiches are natural foods for summer because they're quick (to make and to eat,) cool and casual. They're even more natural with another natural food, milk. Serve it in a tall glass, cool, nourishing and easy to pour. There's no limit on the way to serve sandwiches, or their variety. Confetti Sandwiches are made from cheese and olives, spiked with onion, flecked with pimiento and held together with dairy sour cream. Heat them under the broiler just long enough for the cheese to melt. Crisp vegetable relishes are excellent accompaniments for any sandwiches. Choose from carrot, celery and green pepper sticks, cucumber slices, tomatoes and raw cauliflowers. Serve with a tall glass of well chilled milk. Confetti Sandwiches 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese 3/4 cup chopped pitted ripe olives 1/4 cup finely sliced green onion 1 jar (2 oz.) chopped pimiento, drained 1/2 cup dairy sour cream 8 sandwich buns, split, toasted, buttered Combine cheese, olives onion and pimiento. Gently fold in sour cream. Spread evenly on bun bottoms. roll 3 to five minutes or until cheese melts. Cover with bun tops. Eight servings. Milk offers a natural accompaniment to a colorful Confetti sandwich but it's also at home with any of a thousand other combinations.
