School fair to include dunk chair

Students and parents alike will have a chance to dunk their favorite, or least favorite, teacher at Sunset Park Elementary School Annual Country Fair, Saturday, Feb. 12. Sponsored by the PTA, the carnival will be held on the school grounds at SW 84th Street and 102nd Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The teacher's dunking booth is a new addition to this year's fair, according to Mrs. Sheila Kassewitz, fair chairman. Each soaked teacher will bring in 30 cents to the school's coffers. Most games will cost 15 cents and there will be total of 18 in all, with skills ranging from pre-school level to adult. All proceeds will benefit PTA programs for the school. Last year, about 1,000 people attended the Sunset Park Fair, and the PTA raised $3,000 for the school. The public is invited to attend.
