Local girls announce plans for weddings

Miss Gorman Miss Curry Toledo-Gable Mr. and Mrs. Jose M. Toledo Jr., of Coral Gables, announce the engagement of their daughter Debora Lynn to Gordon Dean Gable, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean V. Gable of Miami. Debora is a graduate of Coral Gables High School and Miami Dade Community College. She presently attends Florida International University. Gordon is a graduate of Florida International University and attends Florida Atlantic University. The couple will marry June 11 at the Granada Presbyterian Church. Curry-Warner Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Curry of Miami announce the engagement of their daughter Virginia Nancy to Patrick Raymond Warner, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Warner of Miami. Virginia and Patrick are graduates of Palmetto High School and both attend Southeastern Louisiana University. The couple will marry July 23 at the Old Cutler Presbyterian Church. Gorman-Niles Mr. and Mrs. James J. Gorman of Miami announce the engagement of their daughter Kathleen Gail to David Paine Niles, son of Rev. and Mrs. Albert C. Niles of Maine. Kathleen is a graduate of Coral Gables High School and Florida State University. David is a major in the Army and is a graduate of St. Laurence University. The couple plans a May wedding in Arlington, Va. Following the wedding they will reside in Alexandria, Va.

School music festival

Dr. Howard Doolin, supervisor of music for Dade County Schools, will be the guest conductor for the "Music Festival of the Americas," a program hosted by Miami Coral Park High School PTSA. Music will be played by the combined bands, chorus and orchestras of W. R. Thomas Junior High, West Miami Junior High and Rockway Junior High. The program will be held in the Coral Park auditorium on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
