They Take Steps That May Save Your Child's Life

—ADVERTISEMENT— Central Shopping Plaza on NW 7th St. and 37th Ave. has taken another step in its drive to become the South's safest marketing place. Portable metal signs have been placed a few feet out in the street next to the sidewalks in front of the stores asking motorists to "Please Protect Our Children ... No Parking." Irving Flaste, representative for the landlord for the center, J. A. Cantor Assoc., said, "We have tried everything imaginable to keep the cars from parking along the store side of the street, afraid that a child might run out in front of an auto pulling in or out." "These signs placed a few feet into the roadway are proving highly successful and have eliminated one of the greatest dangers prevalent in most shopping centers," Flaste said.

Just Love That Gal

Mrs. Nell Morrisey, a cashier at Walgreen's in the Central Shopping Plaza, has been named the most popular employee in the center by the shoppers. An all-expense weekend in Miami Beach's plush Sorrento Hotel on Collins Ave. is Mrs. Morrisey's award for winning the contest between 350 employees of the center. Customers placed their ballots in ballot boxes located throughout the center during the contest.
