Willards' Daughter Due Here

Mr. and Mrs. Ira F. Willard of Catalonia Avenue will be welcoming their daughter, Elizabeth, and husband, Paul D. Willis III, and family of three children in June. Willis, who will be a June graduate from the Iowa State University's School of Medicine, will do his interning at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Young Willis is "matched" for his internship, something new in hospital training and is very happy about his appointment, Mr. Willard said. The Willises were married in Alexandria, Va., when the Willards lived there before coming to Coral Gables. Their children are five, three, and one-year-old.

THEIR FRIENDS SAID ... They'll Swap Gables Home For 6 Months' Trailer Life

"So many people wait until it's too late. They're never able to make their dreams come true together," said Mrs. Fred L. Cadle this week. She chatted while she was packing for a six months' trip she and Mr. Cadle, an accountant, will leave on Saturday. For the Cadles—or for anyone else—it's no ordinary trip. The couple, in their early fifties and with their three daughters grown, have bought a plush house trailer. SEE U.S., CANADA They'll see most of the United States and much of Canada as they pull their new mobile home behind the family's station wagon. "We're picking up Shirley, one of our daughters, in Lubbock, Texas," said Mrs. Cadle. "She's a wonderful traveling companion and a good driver, too. "She'll be studying at the University of Denver next year for her Ph.D in speech and drama." The Cadles have always liked to travel. SAVED GEOGRAPHICS "We were married in June, 1929. I gave Mr. Cadle a subscription to the National Geographic as one of his Christmas presents that year and have been renewing it ever since. Some day we've hoped to visit all those wonderful places. "Now we're doing it. We figured on seeing the USA first. Generally, we take a month's vacation but this time my husband is taking a six months' leave of absence." As for the trailer, costing about $6,000, it's got all the conveniences — including a food freezer and wall-to-wall carpeting. "My friends said they could never see us in a trailer. But then they came by the house Sunday and looked at it and now they say they can. 'ENVY US' "Some of them said if it weren't wrong they'd envy us!" The Cadles sold their home at 6335 Riviera Dr. to Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Hamilton and their two daughters. With it went Mrs. Cadle's prized orchids around the patio. Five baskets hang on the pool deck. They contain four yellow and one purple blooming "Oncidium Spacalatum," all with yard-long blooms. When they return next fall, the Cadles will build another home in the Gables. "Isn't it exciting?" asked Mrs. Cadle as she showed electric outlets in the trailer. "We'll need blankets in Canada, I bet."

We Were Wrong
