PLAYING CARDS while sitting just a few feet away from a tennis court? They may have said it shouldn't be done, but doing it, and now a bit puzzled over their hands, are Bill Davant, 10, 1224 Castile Ave., and Sue Mathisen, 9, 1445 Alegriano Ave.

WAITING AT THE bus station are these birds, although we don't know for what. As sympathetic commuters we say: They also serve who only stand and wait.

THE NEW TELEPHONE book will be at your home during the middle of September. Looking over one of the more than 50,000 books that will be delivered in Coral Gables is Jeanne Cochrane, 19, 1935 SW 70th Ave., a telephone company clerk.

WORKMEN WERE tearing down the service station Monday at Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Giralda Avenue. Willard Sumrall, bulldozer operator, was cleaning the caked dirt from his shovel. His profile is unintentionally outlined against the slenderizing sign.
