Country Club Members Buy Plane, Fly High

Flight - happy members of the Coral Gables Country Club have gone sky - high on plans for the organization of a flying club. The club is open to Coral Gables members who are interested in flying. The benefits of the club would be less expensive instruction, better equipment and planes for the members, a spokesman says. Interest in the club has grown since a few members started the idea by inquiring if such a plan were possible. A second organizational meeting will be held at the club September 20, when club manager, Bob Yoxhall returns from his vacation. So far, 40 people have signed up to purchase a new craft which would make flying available at least cost to the members. Arrangements have been made for a flying instructor. There has been an investigation as to cost but no contracts have been signed. Plans are underway for the country ed up for the club. Some of them are W. B. Bardlev, WilDick Fuller, Rolfe Langhorst, Dick Fuller, Jim Edler, Jack Wade. Gene Gabriel, Glenn Wood, George Wilson, Bob Fewell, Ray Walz, James Culver, Arnold Wail, Bob Yoxhall, and Mrs. John Barclay.
