The City Around Us
Art is everywhere. It waits to be discovered. It may be in the soul of the artist himself such as with a painter. Or it may be an object, even a situation, which needs only to be seen. Some art is mediocre and bears a price tag. Some is priceless and costs nought. We present this story of Coral Gables art. It is presented with the feeling eye of the camera in the hand of Raymond Lang of our staff. For words we have turned to other craftsmen. What pictures would you have included here? "Was this the face that laun ched a thousand ships?" — Christopher Marlowe "Alone, so alone with so many so near." — Sidney Marvel "Children of yesterday, heirs of tomorrow." — Mary Artemisia Lathbury "I watch the world pass my door and pause to ponder about the people I see." — Gregory Lawrence "After all, there is but one race, humanity." — George Moore "There is the national flag. He must be cold ... who can look upon its folds rippling in the breeze without pride of country." — Charles Sumner
