She's Mrs. Estelle Cunningham, 1229 Castile Ave. Life Begins at 75 It's Fun to Shuffle By RAYMOND LANG Times Reporter More than 900 years of life stepped onto the shuffleboard courts recently when 12 senior citizens held an unusual tournament at Salvadore Park. To play, you had to be over 75. The oldest player in the tournament, sponsored by the All States Friendship Club, was Estelle Cunningham, 1229 Castile Ave. Winner was Arthur Sayre, 6243 SW 57th Ave. Runner-up was John Richardson, 6250 SW 42nd Ave. Both are All-Stars. Two participants who belong to a senior citizens club in Coconut Grove were Harold Andresen, 2511 Swanson Ave., and Harry Morris, 1940 SW 12th St. Other All-Staters who played were Ed Hall, 7897 SW 70th St.; Chester Judd, 5211 SW 7th St.; Albert Koch, 5888 SW 31st St. Tony Longo, 7900 SW 78th St.; Grover Quiett, 1310 SW 59th Ave.; John Edmonds, NW area; and Frank Grueter, 3501 SW 21st St. The All-State Friendship Club is made up of senior citizens who meet daily at Salvadore Park for various activities, such as cards and shuffleboard. Membership is open to anyone in Greater Miami.
