Margherita Larson Is Now Mrs. Melms

MRS. GORDON CHESTER MELMS A honeymoon tour of Florida was the plan of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chester Melms, who were married Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Miami. The bride, the former Margherita Ann Larson, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Larson, 1407 Tunis St., Coral Gables. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Melms, 3121 NW 4th Ter. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a handsome bridal gown developed in Belgium lace. The molded bodice had a scoop neckline and long point-on-hand sleeves. The floor length skirt featured a bustle back, the lace sweeping into a chapel train. Her voluminous veil fell from a cap of the lace. She carried white baby mums on her Bible. Maid of Honor Mary Annette Larson, identical twin of the bride, was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carol Jean Larson, Sosie Daisey, Alice Freiburg, Elaine Sundman and Phyllis Cohn. The six attendants wore identical gowns of apricot silk with iridescent bead trim and bustle as back interest. They wore matching accessories and carried chrysanthemums and gladioli in fall colors. Dick Sundman was best man. Ushers included Don Musselmaa, Roger Bezdek, Bob Muller, Jimmy Ramsey and Robert Lawson, all of Miami. The Rev. Henry Dahlberg, pastor, officiated at the 7:30 p.m. candlelight service. The couple exchanged rings. The reception followed the nuptials in the church lounge. Mrs. Lawson, mother of the bride, wore a gown of royal blue chiffon with matching accessories and a yellow roses corsage. Groom's Mother Mother of the groom wore a rose-beige lace gown. Her accessories matched and her fowers were baby mums. Among out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Larson of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Sturdevant of Chatham, Ontario and Miss Jackie Brock of Umatilla. The bride and groom met when they both attended the Presbyterian Sunday School. The bride is a graduate of Coral High School. Plum Loco Will Perform Just For Fun

A performance for laughs alone will be staged by the Pum Loco Symphony Orchestra at the Monday, 2 p.m., meeting of the Coral Gables Woman's Club. The orchestra, whose director is Mrs. Charles Brooks, is comprised of members of the Coco Plum Woman's Club. They perform on the most unexpected things such as washboards and saws. The only conventional instruments in their ensemble are a piano and a set of drums. Equally amusing are the costumes which are to be a surprise. The band has been in existence for years, but the personnel changes from year to year. It makes many appearances at various functions in the area. Members of the orchestra are Mrs. Kenneth Burner, Mrs. Lea Cassani, Mrs. Coy Lee Crofford, Mrs. Theo Dienger, Mrs. W. S. Nermen, Mrs. Miller Hogwood, Mrs. Bette Nicholls, Mrs. A. J. Tierara, Mrs. M.
