POOR MR. GOLF BALL didn't stand a chance recently when these four women teed off on him to cop top honors in a tournament at King's Bay Yacht and Country Club. About 40 members of the Women's Golf Association played, and it was the first action seen on the just-completed golf course. Taking their swings are, front to back, winner of the A division, Mary McCrackin, 6500 SW 128th St.; "B", Estelle Van Armen, 1200 Country Club Prado, and Marian Krystow, 7401 SW 74th Ter.; and "C" winner, Dorothy Hall, 7380 SW 121 St.
Flag Exchange Helps Cement Good Will
The Riviera Country Club was the setting for Sunday luncheon at which Mrs. Carmen Higgs, president of the Inter-national Club of Miami, was presented the flags of Bolivia, Brazil, Portugal and Venezuela by representatives of the government of those countries in Miami. Mrs. Higgs in turn displayed the United States Flag and the Puerto Rican flag, which will be sent to the Monastery of Montserrat in Barcelona, Spain, where they will be displayed with other flags of all countries. Mrs. Milton Weiss was master of ceremonies at the luncheon. Dr. Renzo Abbondandolo on the staff of the Miami Military Academy was the speaker. Albert Lezama, tenor, sang the songs of all countries and all guests joined in singing "God Bless America." An honorary membership also was presented to Col. E. E. Sampson of the Miami Military Academy for his continued co-operation in the various activities of Pan-Americans.
Flower Show Has Yule Theme
The Coral Gables Garden Club will present its Christmas Flower Show entitled Peace and Joy at 2 p.m. Monday at the Coral Gables Woman's Club-house. There will be nine classes of arrangements and nine consultants. The subjects begin with "Christmas Is Worship" and end with "Christmas Is Welcome." Mrs. Jay Nolte will have charge of the Christmas corsages.
DAR Birthday
Commemorating the h anniversary of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Everglades Chapter celebrated its 51st birthday Nov. 15, at Old Fort Dallas. Mrs. Henry Shaw, regent, presented the speaker, Mrs. George C. Estill, state regent.

Tuning Up-Capers Cabaret
Coral Gables and South Miami members of the Miami Junior Woman's Club are busy rehearsing for their 16h annual Gold Coast Capers Cabaret which will take place Nov. 18 at Bayfront Park Auditorium. Some of the dance numbers will be: "Blues, Oklahoma, Hawaiian, Can Can and Mens Minstrel." Pantomimne singers include Robert Wheeler, 3300 SW 80th Ave., who will do an Al Jolson; Al Little, 9761 SW 167th St., who will do a Frank Sinatra, and George Drake, 2612 SW 57th Ave., who will be a Chevalier. They're a part of 20 numbers in this fast stepping show.
Fashion Cornucopia Sets DAR Theme
Cornucopia of Fashion is the benefit luncheon and fashion show to be given by the Junior Committee of the Coral Gables Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, today. The noon affair will take place at the Riviera Country Club. Mrs. Carl Balli is chairman. A huge cornucopia will dominate the stage and the theme in decoration will be Thanksgiving. Mrs. Arthur Bilotta is chairman of the fashion show and Mrs. Robert Moorman is commentator. Proceeds will go to the Junior Committee's Helen Pouch scholarship fund. The chapter has several three generations groups in its membership. Among them are Mrs. Virgil Parham and her daughter, Mrs. Robert J. Shelley Jr., and her granddaughter, Kathy Shelley, who will model, as well as Mrs. Phillip Helmbold, her daughter, Mrs. Roxanne Campbell and granddaughter, Kiptona. Also, Mrs. Rupert L. Rackley, her daughter, Mrs. Herbert O. Root, and granddaughter, Tina Root. The Helen Pouch scholarship fund is the Junior's national project. Mrs. Pouch was the first national chairman of the DAR-junior committee 1941-44. Age of this group is 35 years or younger and is incorporated in all chapters over the country.
Mrs. Brelsford To Be Hostess
Mrs. Helen Brelsford will be the hostess today for the 9:30 a.m. meeting of the Biltmore Heights Garden Club. The program entitled "Here's How to Make Flower Arrangements" will be under the direction of Mrs. Frederick Lucarelli, workshop chairman.
Sweet Sixteen
Jane Franzine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Franzine, 12101 Pine Needle Lane, will have a Sweet 16 party Nov. 25 at the Coral Gables Country Club. Johnny Masters and his orchestra will play for dancing and entertainment.
Councilettes To Meet Sunday
The Councilettes, the young group of teenaged girls of the National Council of Jewish Women, will hold a meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Park Lane Cafeteria, Coral Way at 20th Ave. All girls of junior high school age are invited to attend. Following a short business session, an interesting program has been planned.
