Gables resident attends convention all about people
Joel Lehman, CLU, an associate of New England Mutual Life Insurance Company's Miami-Smithdeal agency, recently attended the 87th annual convention of the National Association of Life Underwriters held at the Fountainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. He and his wife, Katharine, and their two cildren reside at 4590 Alhambra Circle, Coral Gables. Bank director Aristides Sastre, president of Republic National Bank of Miami, has been named a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Miami. Following his arrival in Miami, in 1964, from Cuba, with his wife and two children, Sastre became a vice president and Latin American representative with the First National Bank of Miami until joining Republic as executive vice president in 1967. Armed Forces U.S. Air Force First Lt. Nancy E. Holtgard, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Knight of 6770 SW 74th St., Miami, has arrived for duty at Andersen AFB, Guam. The lieutenant is a 1970 graduate of Miami Killian Senior High School and earned her B.S. degree in 1974 at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Cadet Major James L. Pennekamp, son of retired Air Force Lt. Col. and Mrs. John D. Pennekamp Jr., 16445 SW 80th Ave., has been promoted to the rank of cadet master sergeant at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The cadet is a 1974 graduate of Miami Palmetto Senior High. Navy Lt. Commander Thomas J. Anderson, husband of Mrs. Mary J. Anderson of 6930 SW 72nd Ct., South Miami, has reported for duty at the Naval Air Station, Key West, Fla. He joined the Navy in August 1955. Marine Corporal Guido F. Colli, son of Mr. Guido A. Colli of 6007 SW 15th St., recently returned from participation in the maritime portion of the major NATO exercises "Autumn Forge '76". He is serving as a member of Regimental Landing Team-8, homebased at Camp Lejeune, N.C. A graduate of Columbus High School, he joined the Marine Corps in August 1974.
