Booster Club Sets Sept. 19 Date For Kick-Off Barbecue
If you like barbecues, dancing and the Coral Gables Cavaliers, you'll have your chance to get your fill and support your team at the same time Sept. 19. That's when the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce's Boosters Club stages its annual kickoff celebration before the Cavaliers' opening game Friday, Sept. 22. All proceeds from the $2.50 dinner tickets will go for Cavalier football team equipment and expenses and to pay for other sports at Gables High. Mayor Robert L. The annual money - raiser, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will be held in the rear of the Gables High building if the weather is nice and inside the cafeteria if not. A band will provide music for dancing, scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
