CADET FULLER

Cadet Lt. Samuel Fuller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel W. Fuller, 1325 Castile Ave., is a member of the Marion Institute Golf team, at the Marion Institute Junior College and Preparatory School, Alabama. He is playing matches with various colleges which began March 29 and will end May 14 with some seven of the tournaments being played at the Selma Country Club course in Marion. Cadet Fuller, his father and most of the Fuller men relatives are all alums of Marion Junior College.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil J. Gould, 7550 Ponce de Leon Blvd., will be hosts at a dinner April 25 honoring Sen. Wayne Morse of Oregon. Gould, a builder and developer, is also chairman of the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital's dinner for its president, Samuel T. Sapiro, 6340 Riviera Dr., when Abraham Ribicoff, Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, will be the speaker.

Mrs. Helene M. Van Valkenburg, 1209 Aguila Ave., has a house guest, Mrs. Ann Long, Long Island, N.Y., Mrs. Long's enjoying her first two months visit to Coral Gables, is so taken by the charm of our town that she may become a permanent resident, she says.

It was the golden wedding anniversary of Stuart Patterson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Patterson of Camandagua, N.Y., that called Stu and his wife to New York for the event. The secretary of the Coral Gables Kiwanis Club and his wife are returning Monday.

Dr. Donald P. DeSylva, research assistant professor in the University of Miami's Institute of Marine Science, will be the guest speaker at today's afternoon meeting of the UM Women's Club at San Sebastian Hall. Mrs. F. B. Walton Smith is chairman of the meeting, which also includes the election of new officers.

Among the undergraduates at Florida State University making the dean's list during the fall term were Thomas J. Dowdell, Denise P. Edwards, Linda I. Howell, Marie C. Josberger, Betty J. Overholser, Martha L. Marion, Ross A. McVoy, James E. Phifer Jr., Barbara A. Stewart and Linda L. Walter.

Among students from Coral Gables High School competing with high school students from 12 local high schools in drama achievements at the Ring Theatre, this weekend, are Marty Wolf; Betsy Patrick, 720 Catalonia Ave.; Ray Jeraslow, 6463 SW 12th St.; Helen Grossman, 716 Alhambra Cir.; and Linda Sperling, 910 Valnera Ave.

Mrs. M. Lewis Hall, 751 N. Greenway Dr., will sing her swan song as far as the Florida Federation of Women's Clubs is concerned April 24-27 in Tampa, when she bows out as president for two terms of the state organization of 33,000 members. It will be the 67th FFWC annual convention.

The Coral Gables Business and Professional Women's Club will hold its semi-annual rummage sale Friday and Saturday at 4485 SW 8th St. The sale opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. The Adele Hampton scholarship fund at the University of Miami to assist a junior scholar will benefit.
