City Still Has Hope
The City is still hopeful of getting the Ponce de Leon Boulevard improvement project approved by the Federal Government, City Manager L. W. Robinson Jr. said Tuesday. The $300,000 project is one of four projects the City hopes to get 50-50 matching funds for under the Federal Housing and Home Financing Agency. Robinson said he's confident the proposal will get final approval although sufficient funds may not be left from the original $400 million appropriation. The Administration had asked for $500 million.
