First Presbyterian Church Is Setting For Wedding
Dr. and Mrs. Thowald Douglas Sandberg, 1012 South Greenway Dr., announce the marriage of their daughter, Patricia Ann, to David Duckworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray N. Duckworth, 8145 SW 123rd Ave., formerly of Clewiston. The 8 p.m. candlelight service took place in the First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables. The bride and groom pledged their vows in double ring ceremonies with Dr. Clyde Myers, pastor, officiating. Dan Duckworth, brother of the groom, was soloist. Miss Nancy Martin, friend of the bride, was organist. Bride's Gown Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a chapel length gown of white Satin designed on princess lines with low neckline and long point-at-hand sleeves. Reembroidered Alencon lace trimmed the bodice and fitted peplum from which the satin swept into an aisle wide train. Her many-tiered veil of French illusion fell from a cloche of the lace highlighted with a large satin rose. She carried a bouquet of white orchids. Jackie Neher was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Herbert Summerfield and Judy Day. They wore pink frocks and carried American beauty roses. Phil Hogan was best man. Ushers were Charles Duckworth, brother of the groom, and Nicholas Antonacci. The reception followed in the church reception hall. Bride's Mother For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Sandberg chose a gray lace ensemble with matching accessories and a corsage spray of Epidendrum orchids matching her gown. Mother of the groom was in dusty rose ensemble with matching accessories and a matching spray corsage of Epidendrum orchids. The bride, a native of Coral Gables, was graduated from Coral Gables High School and Florida State University. The groom is presently doing his tour of duty with Air Force. He is stationed at Homestead. He plans to enter the University of Miami in the fall. Taking a tour of Florida on their wedding trip, the couple will reside in Coral Gables. MRS. DAVID DUCKWORTH
