'SHOOTING A SCENE'

for the upcoming Coral Gables Junior Woman's Club Cabaret is cameraman Arthur Ward who is training his camera on four Keystone Cops who will help carry out the musical comedy's theme "Hooray for Hollywood." Next in line for their tour before the "birdie" are eight chorus cuties who are directed by Mrs. George Morris. The show will be presented on March 4, at Bayfront Auditorium. Show time is 9:30 p.m. "John Law" is played by (l. to r.) Jim Durham, Ed Tilton, Lew Lewis and Jack Carrier. The chorus girls (l. to r.), are Mrs. Anthony Bogaards, Mrs. Roy Fleeman, Mrs. E. J. Tilton, Jr., Mrs. James Schuyler, Mrs. Rod Doddridge, Mrs. Clive Schrader, Mrs. Charner Skagseth and Mrs. Weldon B. Lewis.

Junior Women's Cabaret To Give Hollywood Hooray

The Coral Gables Junior Woman's Club will present its 23rd annual cabaret for the benefit of the Dental Clinic Foundation, March 4, at Bayfront Auditorium. Show time is 9:30 p.m. The show, "Hooray For Hollywood," was written by Mrs. E. J. Tilton Jr. General show chairman is Mrs. Robert King High. Cabaret show chairman is Mrs. James Cole. The public is invited. Tickets are $3 a person, regular; $5 a person, patrons. Reservations can be made with Mrs. J. S. Brustares, CA 1-4453. Musical Comedy "Hooray for Hollywood" is a musical comedy scanning the years of movie making from the Keystone Cops, Our Gang, Roaring 20's mobsters, Shirley Temple, Tarzan, right up to the Outer Space science fiction era. The ever famous "Perils of Pauline" will introduce each act with Pauline dashing madly back and forth across the stage. The finale will be the Max Sennett Ballet with bathing beauties and boy bathers on the boardwalk with Keystone Cops looking for robbers hiding in the bathhouses and finding many strange things when they open bathhouse doors. Founded In 1939 The Dental Clinic was founded in 1939 by the Coral Gables Junior Woman's Club. They used at that time two rooms in City Hall for the clinic and remained there for 17 years. The club now has its own building adjacent to the Coral Gables Woman's Club. The club owns complete dental office equipment and furnishes all necessary supplies for operative and surgical dentistry. So far this year the neediest of children in 11 Dade County Schools have been treated. With proceeds from the 1960 Cabaret the club was able to open the clinic five mornings each week. There are three dentists who work there and two dental hygenist who donate their services several mornings each month to clean teeth and give sodium fluoride treatments. The club also provides supervision and diversion for those children awaiting treatment in the office. Mrs. J. L. Brasington is dental clinic chairman; Mrs. Donald D. Doughty, vice chairman. Mrs. Robert L. Koppeal is casework chairman for the Dental Clinic, and Mrs. William Thue, chairman of dental clinic assistants.

Mrs. Dorsey To Be Hostess For Sorority

The Miami Club of Alpha Gamma Delta will hold its monthly meeting March 7 at the home of Mrs. Robert Dorsey, 635 San Antonio. Election of officers for the coming year will head the order of business. Final plans for the annual International Reunion Day luncheon will be discussed. Mrs. Allen J. Burry is chairman of this event which will be held in April at the Miami Skyways Motel. Mrs. H. Massey Brown and Mrs. Mortimer Powell will give a report on the recent rummage sale. Funds from this project go to make up an annual gift to the Crippled Children's Society, the group's alturistic project. Alpha Gammas will be hostesses to the Miami Panhellenic Organization on March 11. The meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Comer Kimball, 3029 Brickell Ave.

Mrs. Mollie Turner To Address Club

Members of the South Miami Woman's Club, meeting at 10 a.m. Friday at the American Legion Hall, 7710 SW 59th Ave., will have as guest speaker, Mrs. Mollie Turner, woman's director, Public Service Television, Inc. The club welfare department will distribute sandwiches and cake at the Homestead Air Force Base on March 12.

Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae Reunion

Alpha Chi Omega Sorority Alumnae Association, which was founded locally in 1946, will hold a reunion meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Mrs. Jack Knowles, 1240 Mariola Ct. Among the first year alumnae present will be Mrs. Earl Faircloth, the founder-president, Mrs. Jack Junkin and Miss Marjorie Conroy of the American Red Cross in Miami.
