Catalina Acebal, 70, of Cutler Ridge, died May 18. She was a member of St. Jovchim Church and is survived by her husband, Isidoro Acebal; daughter, Felicia Garcia; son, Jocinto Acebal and three grandchildren. Arrangements by Van Orsdels on Bird Road. BRAND Edith Mary Brand, 93, of Southwest Dade, died Thursday, May 20. She is survived by son Jack. She was buried at Woodlawn park. BUSH Charles E. Bush, 84 of 8282 SW 124th., died May 20. A resident of South Dade for 15 years, he was a retired grocer. He was a member of IOOF and Kendall Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Cora Belle; a grandson, Dan Bush; grandaughter, Mrs. Judy Weston. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22 at the Stanfill Kendall Chapel. CALDAS Dumersindo Caldas, 81, of 4790 SW 118th Ave., died Wednesday May 19. He leaves a wife Ines: a son, Reinaldo and a daughter, Ada. Interment at Flagler Memorial. CAMELI Ethel Cameli J., 60, of 6490 SW 81st. St. She leaves a husband, John; sons Robert and Winthrop; and two sisters Ruth and Ana. Interment at Miami Memorial Park. CARDENAS Roberto Cardenas, 56, of 9775 SW 21st Terr., died Wednesday, May 19. Interment at Miami Memorial. Survivors are wife Lisette Cardenas and children Raul, Marguerite, Lisette and Roberto. ESTRADA Tomas Estrada, 21, of 10001 SW 16th A St., died Wednesday, May 19. He leaves his parents, Elijio and Carmen. He was buried at Flagler Memorial Park. GAUDIO Joseph A. Gaudio, 47, 2100 SW 83rd Ave., died May 21. A 20-year resident of South Dade, Gaudio was a U.S. Marine veteran, fought in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was employed at Edward A. Kelly Son produce company. His survivors include wife, Patricia E., two daughters, Cathy and Mary Pat; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Gaudio; two brothers, Francis T. and Charles J. Funeral mass was held Monday, May 24 10 a.m. at St. Brendan's Catholic Church and services were held at the Stanfill Kendall Chapel. GELPI Angel Gelpi, 85, of Southwest Dade, died Wednesday May 19. He leaves a wife, Amelia; and children, Angel, Antonio, Marina, Dolores and Amelia. He was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park. GRIFFIN Mrs. Mary F. Griffin, 68, of Southwest Dade, died May 19. Services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 24 at the chapel of First United Church of Coral Gables. She is survived by her husband, Bennie Griffin; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Davis and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Van Orsdels in Coral Gables. JOHNSON Clifford B. Johnson, 71, of Southwest Dade, died Wednesday, May 19. He is survived by wife Mary Ann; three sons, Clifford, Willian and Robert; and a daughter, Mildred Blizzard. He was buried at Miami Memorial Park. KOONS Cora M. Koons, 91, of Cutler Ridge, died May 19. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Ryan, two sons, nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Arrangements by Van Orsdels on Bird Road. NEMECEK Frank E. Nemecek, 83, of 20001 East Ridge Village Dr. He leaves a wife, Sadie; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Rainford and Ruth Reynolds; and two brothers, two sisters and foru four grandchildren. NORTON John J. Norton, 55, a civil engineer, South Bayshore, died May 18. Mass was said at St. Hugh's on Saturday, May 22 and a rosary service was held Friday, May 21 at Van Orsdel's Coral Gables chapel. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Norton, Sr., of Miami, a brother, Dr. Edward D. Norton, of Miami and a sister, Mrs. Clifford Boyle of Massachusetts. Arrangements by Van Orsdels of Coral Gables. SOTO-PRADERA Leticia Soto-Pradera, 84 of 601 SW 5th St., died Wednesday May 19. She leaves her siblings Mercedes, Carmen and Dr. Emilio Soto-Pradera. Interment was at Flagler Memorial. THAL Edward E. Thal, 60, of 1420 El Rado, Coral Gables, died May 20. He was originally from New York, but resided in Coral Gables since 1948. He was an insurance underwriter for Peninsula Life Insurance Co., and was president of the Coral Gables Civitan. He is survived by his wife, Lilia R., daughters, Mrs. Edgar R. Bertram and Mrs. Thomas Bertlang; brother, Ted Thal; and mother, Mrs. Margaret Thal. VILLARONGA Francisco Villaronga, 52, of 35 SW 63rd Ct., died Monday, May 17. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Survivors are Mrs. Emelritina Villaronga, Francisco Villaronga and Jose Lourdes Villaronga. VON ESSEN Mildren A. Von Essen, 75 of Coral Gables, died Saturday, May 22. She leaves two nieces, Coral Rumore and Ruth Wagner.
