WITHERS CORAL GABLES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Photos by SETH PERLMAN Rx: Take 1 capsule every 100 years The lid on Coral Gables' time capsule (above) will remain closed for 100 years. The capsule was buried in front of the Police Station, 2801 Salzedo, with due honors from (above right) Richard McKenzie, Pedro Llaguno and Charles McKenzie, all of SW 24th Street and from Gables officials and Chamber of Commerce members, on the Fourth of July. The capsule's contents — Bicentennial memorabilia, a current Times/Guide, a Key to the City, a recent map — are protected by lead casing (right) that is expected to last a full century until the capsule is exhumed on July 4, 2076.
