Itches for pencil at sight of puzzle

Mrs. Thomas Mulligan has been doing crossword puzzles for as long as she can remember. "I'm really addicted to them... I can't look at a crossword puzzle without itching for a pencil," she said. Mrs. Mulligan is The Times-Guide's weekly crossword puzzle winner, and she won $25 for her efforts. Mrs. Mulligan The Coral Gables housewife lives on Garlenda Avenue with her husband Thomas and two of her children, Honora, 26, and Timothy, 23. Her oldest child, Rosanne Hughes, 35, is married. The Thomases moved to Coral Gables six years ago from North Arlington, N.J. There, Mrs. Thomas was active in the leadership of the Girl Scouts. The family decided to make the move after visiting Mrs. Thomas' aunt in Coral Gables. "We fell in love with Coral Gables, and we liked the fact that they were keeping it the "City Beautiful," she said. Ever since The Times-Guide has been delivered to the Thomas' home, Mrs. Thomas has been working the crossword puzzle.

AUTO INSURANCE RATES ARE A RIP-OFF! Herb FRIESNER

will introduce legislation to end the rip-off and reduce auto insurance rates. Here's how the "FRIESNER PLAN" works! 1. Mandatory annual audit of insurance company reserves 2. Base rates on premium dollars plus company's investment income 3. Exclude first $1,000 personal injury claim (usually covered by medical insurance) from no-fault coverage 4. Strict enforcement of Florida Statute 627-728 halting present cancellation and refusal to renew policies without good cause 5. Control of load-on charges and high interest rates by agencies and premium finance companies 6. Set insurance rates on a statewide basis rather than penalizing counties like Dade Elect Herb FRIESNER State Representative District 115 Lever 7-B And let's end the auto insurance rip-off!
