Beverly Aylor Becomes Bride Of Virginia Man

Mrs. James Brewbaker Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lewis Aylor Jr. of 634 Altara Ave. announce the marriage of their daughter, Beverly Jane, to James M. Brewbaker Jr., son of Mrs. Edwin Atlee Buchanan of Arlington, Va., and the late Mr. Brewbaker. The wedding took place Saturday at the University Baptist Church, with the Rev. Woody Watkins officiating at the 8 p.m. double ring candlelight ceremony. The reception followed in the church patio. Accompanied to the altar by her father, the bride wore a candlelight, dull satin, floor-length gown fashioned princess style with Alencon lace, and large self roses of the satin. An Elizabethan headpiece of lace and pearls held her bouffant veil of candlelight illusion, and she carried a bouquet of three white roses. The bride's five attendants wore identical gowns of Capucine taffeta in floor length, and carried bouquets of three Talisman roses. They were Miss Beverly Forman, maid of honor, and bridesmaids Miss Mona Tel Fondren, Miss Susan Esslinger, Miss Marilyn Jensen and Miss Patricia Swanson, all of Coral Gables. Neil V. Davis, of Atlanta was best man. Ushers were R. Gerald Cumming, of Norfolk, Va., Richard D. Maxwell III of Coral Gables; Hugh B. Hodges of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.; and William Randolph Winston of Keswick, Va. The mother of the bride wore a light beige gown of pure silk organza with sheath skirt, the bodice of which had elbow-length sleeves of handdrawn Alencon lace. The groom's mother was in a pale beige Alencon lace gown over mauve taffeta. Both matrons wore Cymbidium orchids. Among the out-of-town relatives attending the wedding were the aunt and uncle of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Stockbridge of Tampa; her brother, Vernon L. Aylor III of Harrington Park, N.J. and her two grandmothers, Mrs. Anita Bailey of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Nina Bradfield of Bedford, Ga. The fact that bridesmaid Patricia Swanson and usher Dick Maxwell III were the "cupid" in this romance is an interesting highlight. The bride graduated from Coral Gables High School and attended Wesleyan College, Macon, Ga. She made her debut in 1960 in the Coral Gables Country Club's presentation. She is a member of this club and also of the Bronze Club Chapter, Children of the Confederacy. The groom is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he joined Theta Delta Chi fraternity and Pi Delta Epsilon, honorary journalism fraternity. He will enter the University of Virginia's School of Law in September. The couple will reside in Charlottesville, site of the university.
