Notice is hereby given by the City of Coral Gables, Florida, that sealed bids will be received on or before 3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, September 19, 1961 in the office of the City Clerk, and will be presented to the Commission of such city at the regular meeting of the City Commission in the Commission Chambers of the City Hall, Coral Gables which com- mences at 4:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, September 19, 1961 and then publicly opened for the execution of the following paving work: Paving Avenue Catalonia from Ponce de Leon Boulevard to the East line of lot 4, block 46, Coral Gables, Florida, designated as Paving Improvement District H-111 according to plans and specifica- tions therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk. Plans, specifica- tions and bidding formalities may be obtained from the Department of Public Works, 2800 Dixie High- way, Coral Gables, Florida. To insure execution of good faith, and to insure the execution of the contract and the filing of a performance bond, all bids sub- mitted must be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, or bid bond with corporate surety satis- factory to the City Attorney, in the amount of five and one-half per cent (5 1/2%) of the total amount of such bid, payable to The City of Coral Gables. In the event of awarding of any bid the ac- companying check or bid bond will be returned. In the event of the acceptance of any bid and the approval there- of by the City Commission, the contract will be executed by the City Manager, City Clerk and the Contractor, and upon filing by the Contractor of a satisfactory Per- formance Bond for one hundred per cent (100%) of the total amount of the work contracted for.
