Miss Harter Weds in Little Flower
Off on a honeymoon trip to North Carolina are Mr. and Mrs. George Andrew Knauer, whose wedding took place Saturday at the Church of the Little Flower. The bride, the former Wen- efred Gail Harter, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Harter of 2210 SW 79th Court. The groom is the son of Mrs. Patrick Gilmore of 4017 Santa Maria Ave., and the late Francis A. Knauer. The Rev. Fr. Peter Reilly officiated at the double-ring, 11 a.m. ceremony. The reception followed in the Pan American Recreation Club. The bride wore an ice-blue white satin bridal gown with Chantilly lace bodice. Her voluminous veil of illusion fell from a pearl crown and she carried a bouquet of white orchids. Miss Carol Ann Lietz, maid of honor, wore a coral organza sheath. Bridesmaids Mrs. Cynthia Reddy and Miss Kathleen Kelly wore pink organza sheaths. Francis A. Knauer, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Terry L. Holsinger and James Mackie. The bride's mother chose a turquoise satin chiffon gown with matching accessories and orchid corsage for the wedding. Mother of the groom was in peacock blue silk and chiffon. Her accessories matched and she wore orchids. Among the out-of-town relatives attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Marx, the Misses Deborah and Kathleen Marx of Jacksonville; Mr. and Mrs. John Isiminger of Jupiter; Alfred Triax, and Fred Inglett, of Eau Gallie; Mrs. Edris Fernandy, of Wauchula; Mrs. C. C. Miller, of Tampa and Mrs. S. A. Hobart, of Pompano Beach. The bride attended St. John's Preparatory School, San Juan, Puerto Rico and graduated from Coral Gables High School. The groom attended St. Leo's College Preparatory School, and Spring Hill College, Mobile, Ala. The couple will reside at 14220 S.W. 88th Ave. MRS. GEORGE KNAUER
Simone To Wed In December
SIMONE DEL VECCHIO Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Del Vecchio, 1036 Palermo Ave., announce the engagement of their daughter Simone, to Frederick Blaine Thorpe. Simone attended Ponce de Leon Junior High and Coral Gables Senior High Schools, where she was a member of Girl's Chorus. Frederick graduated from schools in North Carolina and served in the armed forces in Germany. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Smithey, 2120 NW 22nd Ct. They are planning a double-ring ceremony Dec. 9 at St. Philip's Church, with the Rev. John Shirley officiating. Simone and her fiance met on a blind date last Christmas vacation.
Bridge Class Is Offered
A new class in intermediate bridge has started at the Coral Gables Youth Center Wednesday evening from 7 to 10 o'clock. The Goren method will be taught by Miss Olga Poe instructor. The fee for these classes is $9 for eight lessons. For further information please contact the Youth Center at HI 8-2567. Anyone interested in a beginner class can also contact the center and dates and time will be announced when class is to begin.
