DON'T GAMBLE YOUR HOME
Here's PROOF Metro Plans to Revive Tax Re-assessment Plan Metro betrayed small and average home owners with a tax plan which nullified Homestead Exemption. In the face of skyrocketing Metro spending—up by $7,400,000 the first year, $8,600,000 the second year, $14,900,000 the third year, and $19,600,000 the fourth year—wealthy taxpaying interests were on the verge of throwing out Metro . . . until the re-assessment plan shifted the burden to hundreds of thousands of home owners. Metro turned deaf ears to the people's outcry . . . UNTIL 76,000 PEOPLE SIGNED PETITIONS AND FORCED THE OCT. 17th VOTE TO AMEND THE METRO CHARTER! Then Metro hastily called a special election in August to knock out the re-assessment plan . . . a political move, to lull the people . . . UNTIL AFTER OCT. 17th! Don't be fooled. It is only TEMPORARY! The Metro Manager, questioned UNDER OATH in Circuit Court, admitted plans to REVIVE RE-ASSESSMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Let's KEEP RE-ASSESSMENT OUT! Vote "YES" Oct. 17 PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE TO AMEND METRO Dan Chappell, Pres. • Congress Bldg. • FR 9-7683 Pd. Pol. Ad.
