Lucia M. Rappe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus J. Rappe, 4510 Ingraham Hwy., was graduated during a military review May 11 from the U.S. Nava lTraining Center, Bainbridge, Md. She is on a 14-day leave, with her family before leaving for the U.S. Naval Training Center, Bainbridge, for yoeman school. ★ ★ ★ Mayor Robert Searle will speak on "Progress Through Gifts of Time and Talent — "The theme of Pilot International, when he presides at the Coral Gables Chapter's annual meeting and installation of officers Wednesday at the Coral Gables Country Club. Mrs. Mildred Rollins, school teacher is the 1962 president Miss Lulu Riker, of the Mental Health Society of Miami, is vice president. ★ ★ ★ Emery Balogh, and his wife, Ethel, 3651 Le Jeune Rd., had as their recent house tuest, Emery's mother, Mrs. Imre Balogh of Shelton, Conn. Come Sunday, June 3, Ethel will have her annual piano recital with students, Jane Rosen, Cynthia Shelton, Terry Gralnick, Paulette Fried, Joan Wiekes, Mindy Harris and Steve Serkin, at the keyboard. ★ ★ ★ Carlton W. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Cole, 710 Paradiso Ave., was the only Florida boy accepted into Phi Eta Sigma, national freshman honor society at Davidson College, N.C. The exercises took place when the college was presented its Phi Eta Sigma charter (114th) following the induction of 46 Davidson students into the newly-formed chapter. ★ ★ ★ Mr. and Mrs. Alan Tannen, 1524 Algardi Ave., and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Sockol of South Miami have returned from a cruise to Nassau and two-days' sightseeing in that British island city. The Medical Faculty Wives club of the University of Miami held installation of new officers in luncheon ceremonies yesterday (Wednesday) at the Coral Reef Yacht Club. Mrs. Thomas Scotti, 1216 Granada Blvd., is the president; Mrs. Albert Jaslow, 6601 SW 126th St., is the corresponding secretary. Dr. John Finerty, assistant Dean of the UM School of Medicine was the speaker. ★ ★ ★ Veronica M. Peace, 410 Rosaro Ave., recently returned from Nassau. ★ ★ ★ James Douglas Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Brown, 1450 Cecelia Ave., has been elected a member of the Florida State University's senior men's honor court. He is a junior government major.

Miss Lester Will Marry Minister
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lester of 5100 Maggiore St. announce the engagement of their daughter, Diane, to the Rev. R. Gent Cofer, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Cofer of Bristol, Va. The wedding will take place Aug. 17. The bride-elect is a graduate of Coral Gables High School. She attended Mississippi College, Clinton, Miss., and was graduated from Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, N.C. Her fiance is a graduate of Richmond College, Richmond, Va., where he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, honorary society and Pi Gamma Delta, social fraternity. He was graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky., and is presently youth director at University Baptist Church.
