Temple Judea Exercises
Temple Judea Kindergarten students will graduate tomorrow (Friday) at the Temple. There will be closing exercises and diplomas presented by Herbert Gelernter, Temple president. Graduating are Reid Lewis, Michael Lewis, Dale Bearman, Loren Schragger, Loren Cohen, Paula Barkowitz, Saul Prusoff, Randie Wolfman, Michael Tueb, Francine Berkowitz, Deborah Zalls, Marlene Fletcher, Lynda Center, Matthew Willig and Eliot Levin. The teacher is Mrs. Nathan Selditch.
Joint Services For Demarests
Memorial services for Mrs. Harriett E. Demarest, 80, of 432 Cadagua Ave., who died Saturday, were held Wednesday in Philbrick's Coral Gables Chapel. It was a joint service also in memory of her son, Frederick J. Wilmarth, 55, who died May 14th in Los Angeles. Both Mrs. Demarest and her son came here five years ago from Washington, D.C. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Adelaide Hart; and a grandson, Lt. C. A. Hart, USN both of Miami; and two great grandchildren.
Fred J. Glick, Lived on Cortez
Services were held Monday in Gordon Funeral Home for Fred J. Glick, 50, of 1701 Cortez St., who died Saturday. He came here 20 years ago from Pittsburgh and owned Buzzies Drive-in Restaurant. He was a World War II veteran and member of the Southwest Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Mahi Shrine. Surviving are his wife, Bertha; a son Harvey; a daughter, Roberta; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cohen, and Mrs. Marian Zweig, all local residents. Masonic graveside services also were held.
Mrs. Hewling; Rites in Ohio
Mrs. Sue E. Hewling, 80 of 307 Minorca Ave., who died May 17, came here 37 years ago from Chicago. She was a co-operator of the Tiny Tots Musical Playhouse and Kindergarten. She organized the first all-girl orchestra in Miami and she was a professional whistler, having made recordings with several well-known bands. No local services were held, but final rites will take place in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
Philip Kahn, 90, Came From N.J.
Graveside services were held Sunday in Mt. Sinai Cemetery for Philip Kahn, 90, of 515 Valencia Ave., who died Saturday. Mr. Kahn came here 14 years ago from Newark, N.J., and was a retired owner of an embroidery shop. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Florence Weickstein, Mi-
Alonzo D. Wilder, Retired Attorney
Services were held yesterday (Wednesday) at Van Orsdel's Coral Gables Chapel for Alonzo D. Wilder, 74 of 118 Menores Ave., who died Monday. He came here 37 years ago from Bristol, Fla., and was a retired attorney. He was a member of the Florida Bar Association. Survivors include his wife, Irene and two sisters, Miami.
'The Rock' Is Sunday At Church
This Sunday evening the University Baptist Church congregation and visitors will see the front of the sanctuary transformed into a first century dwelling, setting for the drama, "The Rock." A cast taken from the church membership will present this three-act play by Mary P. Hamlin, depicting the character development of Simon Peter. The lead role of Simon will be played by Dr. Philip J. Chastain, pediatrician. Other members of the cast are Mrs. Cecil Harper, Mrs. Charles Rogers Jr., Mrs. Dorothy Jones, Gent Cofer, Pete McClellan, George Drake Sr., James Austin, Robb Hasencamp and Miss Linda Brooks. Co-directors of the play are Miss Paula Milton and Mrs. Robert W. Clarke. The drama will begin at 7:45 p.m.
Right Stamps But Was Wrong Address
Had it been open, we would have sent you to the wrong place to redeem your King Korn stamps. In a recent story about stamp redemption stores in Coral Gables, we said King Korn was going in at 20-22 Miracle Mile, but that should have been 20-22 Merrick Way. King Korn is scheduled to open June 1.
Women At St. Philip's Elect Officers
New officers of the churchwomen of St. Philip's Episcopal Church were installed Thursday morning at the church with Mrs. John M. Sessions again serving as president. Other new officers are Mrs. Warren L. Blackmon and Mrs. Robert W. Fleming, secretaries; Mrs. Richard Jones, Christian Education secretary. Mrs. Charles Cotterman Jr., Christian Social relations secretary. Chapter chairmen are Mrs. John M. Montgomery, St. Anne's; Mrs. Edward R. Miller, St. Catherine's. Mrs. E. Benton Reynolds, St. Elizabeth's; Mrs. John C. Findeison, St. Helena's. Mrs. Willard R. Brown, St. Hilda's; Mrs. Herbert Sumerfield, St. Joan's; Mrs. Nelson Gaunt, St. Margaret's. Mrs. Earl Lee, St. Martha's; Mrs. William D. Dolbeer, St. Mary's; and Mrs. Kenneth Ingersoll, St. Monica's.
RAVLIN NOT PLAINTIFF
John Ravlin said he did not bring the suit against the City of Coral Gables to have a 20-acre tract of land off Sunset Drive unincorporated back in 1939. A Times story last week incorrectly identified him as the plaintiff.

The City Commission has authorized the sale of an estimated $1,771 in spare auto parts for $360. Glyn Wilcox, highest bidder on the parts, some of which had been stored since 1940, got the award. Other bidders were Deel Motors, $350 and James Christmas, $350. The parts were considered obsolete and unusable by the city, according to City Manager L. W. Robinson Jr.
