DO YOU OWN ANYTHING made by a mountaineer in a small, secluded frame shack? If not and you'd like to, you'll have your chance Nov. 3. The Miami Alumnae of Pi Beta Phi will sell hand made and hand woven goods from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Edward S. Christiansen, 6312 Riviera Dr. The goods were made by mountain folk in Gatlinburg, Tenn. and sent to Coral Gables. The local group will send the sales' proceeds back to Gatlinburg to provide an education for mountain children at a specially conducted school. Seen here with a miniature set of hand carved roosters is Mrs. William C. Goff, 11835 SW 91st Ave. Holding a striped, red and white pair of mother and son kangaroos is Mrs. Frederick C. Meaddows, 5663 Michaelangelo St.

'Dream House' Is Setting

Receptions for the presidents of women's clubs have been in vogue for many years, but it took the young Cutler Ridge Woman's Club to seize upon the beauty of the New Richard's Department Store "Dream House" on U. S. Highway 1 in Cutler Ridge as the setting for their Southern Garden Party, a salute to their new president, Mrs. John Mobley and installation of new officers. Teenaged daughters of club members in Southern Belle gowns of delecate pastel colors served southern style hor d'oeuvres. They were Dellrac Black, Betty Boggs, Karen O'Grady, Nancy Coverly, Claudia Duncan and Kathy Painter. Guest Book Mrs. John Traver, immediate past president, presided over the guest book, and Mrs. John Schrieber and Mrs. Gilbert Fishbeek, a past president, presided at the coffee and iced tea (mint julep) table. Mrs. Arthur Hemming and Mrs. R. D. McCoy, past presidents were co-chairmen. Mrs. William O. Mehrtens, president of the Dade County Federation of Women's Clubs, was in the receiving line along with the president and other officers. New Officers Seated were Mrs. Patrick Hughes, first, and Mrs. Cecil Boggs, second, vice president; Mrs. Wesley Minnersky, recording, and Mrs. Anton Jorgenson, corresponding, secretaries; Mrs. Alan Cross Jr., treasurer and Mrs. Chales Seiler Jr., historian.
