Miss Julia Swart, instructor in journalism, announces a series of lessons both mornings and evenings at the Coral Gables Youth Center. Mrs. Grace Whitfield of the Dade County Board of Public Instruction laso announced instructions in adult sewing classes. Classes in journalism begin Monday are from 7 to 10 p.m., in Room 201. On Tuesday, a new class in public relations and publicity will meet from 7 to 10 p.m., at Room 201. There is also a class in creative writing meeting from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays. Mrs. Whitfield's adult classes in sewing for both beginners and advanced are Tuesdays from 7 to 10 p.m. and Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon for beginners, in Room 201.
Gables Net Team Beats Hollywood
Coral Gables Country Club women's tennis team defeated Hollywood Tennis Club, 5-2, Tuesday in doubles matches at Hollywood. Members of the Gables team were Mary McKart and Margarett Babbitt, Laura Motion and Emmeline Short, Marianne Garland and Marya Gustafson. Pat Costello and Flo Olkoshi Peaches Kelsey and Maxie Waugh, Berta Cueva and Julia Mandel, and Gloria Perro and Dottie Langstroth.
