Ricky Collects Stamps, Delivers 167 Customers
Ricky Schafer, an 8th grader at St. Theresa School, likes to go bowling, as well as keep up his stamp and coin collection and do some oil painting. Ricky, 13, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Schafer, 5821 SW 10th St. Young Schafer is one of the leading carrier salesmen in The Times' circulation drive now underway. The Times will give an expenses-paid trip to Nassau to the carrier boy (and one of his parents) who gets the most subscriptions (minimum of 50) before May 1. He now delivers each Thursday 167 copies of The Times, about three times as many papers as the average carrier boy. A Times' carrier gets 12 cents a paper per month so Ricky earns $19.04. Ricky's route is bounded by Tamiami Trail, Red Road, Obispo Avenue and Columbus Boulevard. The Miami-born youth would like to be a doctor. His favorite school subjects are American history, geography and science. RICKY SCHAFER . . . our boy
